Glossary

Gage pressure. Pressure measured with respect to atmospheric pressure.

 

Gas. A substance which:
(a) at 50 °C has a vapour pressure greater than 300 kPa (3 bar); or
(b) is completely gaseous at 20 °C under standard pressure of 101.3 kPa;

Gas cartridge. Any non-refillable receptacle containing, under pressure, a gas or a mixture of gases. It may be fitted with a valve;
